The Humble Way
Humility as the Heart of Spiritual Growth
with Swami Prabodh Chaithanya and DrJi
The Humble Way is the path of meeting yourself as you are.
“When I relate with myself without any image, I am meeting the simple conscious person in me. That is humility.”
– Swami Prabodh Chaithanya
What does it actually mean to be humble? In this workshop, Swami Prabodh Chaithanya unpacks humility as both a practice and a realisation.
As a practice, humility is the attitude of self-surrender: a willingness to release the images we construct about ourselves and meet the simple conscious person beneath them. As a realisation, humility is knowledge: the direct understanding that the witness in me is the witness in everyone, which makes genuine equality of vision not a moral effort but a natural consequence.
Drawing on scriptural tools and the Bhagavad Gītā (5.18), this session offers both an entry point for those beginning to work with humility as a value, and a deeper frame for those ready to explore it as freedom.

What This Workshop Covers
- Humility as a value: the attitude of self-surrender and how it suspends the images we carry about ourselves
- The “simple conscious person”: meeting yourself without filters, opinions, or judgments
- The sources of self-image: power, position,
relationships, fame, memory, and how to hold them functionally
- Three scriptural tools for disentangling the self: the witness tool (Sākṣī), seer-seen analysis (Dṛk-Dṛśya Viveka), and self-awareness and world-awareness
- Humility as freedom: when the practice becomes
effortless and spontaneous - Vidyā Vinaya Sampanne: Bhagavad Gītā 5.18, where knowledge and humility are shown to be inseparable

Your contribution, whatever it is, supports this work directly and makes it possible for Yoga Prabodhana to continue offering teachings, developing new programmes, and keeping them accessible to all.
You are invited to give honestly. Not what you think you should give, but what genuinely reflects your means and your appreciation for this work. Give honestly – and in doing so, you have already begun.
